Other amenities are a short stroll away, that includes the bars and promenade at the bottom of the hill.

The promenade leads to Puerto Colón and further on to La Caleta or going the other direction, Las Americas and Los Cristianos.

A 2 minute walk uphill will get you to the San Eugenio shopping centre, where you’ll find a Mercadona supermarket.

In the shopping centre and the surrounding area that are many other well known and popular bars, shops and restaurants, not only within the shopping centre itself but in the surrounding area.

Sandy beaches are within very easy reach as well, Playa La Pinta, Playa el Bobo and Playa Fañabé to name a few.

San Eugenio – The town

San Eugenio is right next door to Playa de Las Américas and is split by the motorway, so you have San Eugenio alto and San Eugenio bajo.

Alto, means high and so the upper part of the town is above the motorway and has many holiday complexes and residential homes and complexes, so a reasonable mixture.

Bajo means low…and you’ve guessed it, it’s below the motorway.

This area is a mixture of residential and touristic complexes as well, but is more geared to tourism with its bars, shops and restaurants and of course the beaches.

Just a short walk from the San Eugenio shopping centre, which has all of the things you’d expect regarding shops and bars, is Puerto Colón where the day cruises and fishing trips start their journey.

There are also the fabulous beaches of Playas El Bobo and La Pinta and it’s just a short walk from Playa Torviscas and a little further on to Playa Fañabé.
